This International Harvester AS148 truck is a genuine example of a historic International truck sold in Australia. This example has undergone a ground up, no expensive spared restoration spanning from 2008-2013 and has sat as a showpiece at the Bodallin Motor Museum until making its way to NSW.

This included a full rebuild of the original engine and running gear, all new period correct interior, a back to bare metal respray for the cabin and tray edgings and new Redgum timber tray. This vehicle presents today in good condition and presents an excellent opportunity for the most discerning enthusiast to add it to any collection or put it back in service on the road.

A Melbourne-based subsidiary, the International Harvester Company of Australia Pty Ltd was established in 1912 to manage Australian distribution and sales of International Harvester products, with branch offices in interstate capital cities and a network of 550 dealers by the late 1940s. International Harvester became a major competitor to local manufacturers like H.V. McKay's Sunshine Harvester Works.

In response to restrictive Commonwealth import tariffs, International Harvester established its own Australian manufacturing operations, opening factories at Geelong in 1937, to produce agricultural equipment (and later tractors), at Dandenong in 1952, to produce motor trucks, and at Port Melbourne in 1958
