Origins of the Innocenti Mini

The Innocenti Mini Cooper was born of an agreement between Italian carmaker Innocenti and the British Motor Corporation (BMC) in the early 1960s. Innocenti began producing its own version of the Mini under licence in 1965, and went on to develop separate models, often more luxurious and with specific engines. The Mini Cooper 1300 marked an important stage in this evolution.

Produced from February 1973 in larger numbers (around 28,000 units) than the ‘non-export’ version (around 10,000 units produced from February 1972), the 1300 Cooper Export was distinguished by a more luxurious and better-equipped interior (specific seats, better quality carpets, rear defrosting, sometimes wooden steering wheel), minor aesthetic details (‘Export’ badge), and potentially slight technical differences (engine similar to the British Mini Cooper S, Hydrolastic suspension possible).

Our model

This is a very rare 1972 Mini Cooper 1300 Innocenti in Rosso Corsa.

Our model is in impeccable mechanical and cosmetic condition. The bodywork and some parts of the engine have recently been rebuilt.

The mechanics run perfectly and the original interior is in perfect condition.

Origine de la Mini Innocenti

L’Innocenti Mini Cooper est née de l’accord entre le constructeur italien Innocenti et la British Motor Corporation (BMC) au début des années 1960. Innocenti a commencé à produire sous licence sa propre version de la Mini en 1965, et a ensuite développé des modèles distincts, souvent plus luxueux et avec des motorisations spécifiques. La Mini Cooper 1300 a marqué une étape importante dans cette évolution.

Produite à partir de février 1973 en plus grande quantité (environ 28 000 exemplaires) que la version « non export » (environ 10 000 exemplaires produite dès février 1972), la 1300 Cooper Export se distinguait par un intérieur plus luxueux et mieux équipé (sièges spécifiques, moquettes de meilleure qualité, dégivrage arrière, volant parfois en bois), des détails esthétiques mineurs (badge « Export »), et potentiellement de légères différences techniques (moteur similaire à la Mini Cooper S anglaise, suspension Hydrolastique possible).

Notre modèle

Voici une très rare Mini Cooper 1300 Innocenti de 1972, dans sa couleur Rosso Corsa.

Notre modèle se présente dans un état mécanique et cosmétique irréprochable. La carrosserie ainsi que quelques éléments du moteur ont été refaits récemment.

La mécanique tourne parfaitement bien et l’intérieur d’origine est dans un parfait état.
