This Thunderbird was first registered in the USA in 2003 and shortly after imported into Switzerland by a Thunderbird enthusiast. The cabriolet, with its distinctive “bullseye” hardtop and an electrically operated soft top was used enthusiastically and always carefully maintained. Several years ago, the owner presented his Thunderbird to the humanitarian organisation ASSOCIATION MEDICAMENTS POUR TOUS (MPT), which now has decided to auction the car to finance different projects. All proceeds of the sale will go to this particular organisation. The cabriolet has only covered 33’400 miles and is in very good and well-maintained condition. The 3.9 litre V8 engine with its 284 hp is running perfectly and the coach work benefits from a Mike Sanders rust proofing. The most recent MOT was completed in October 2016 and since then the car was occasionally driven on dealer plates. With the sale of the car, several no longer available spare and maintenance parts with a value of around 10’000 Swiss francs will be provided.
