- 17 avril 1964, Ford, second constructeur mondial, présente à New York sa Mustang et réinvente l'automobile avec la première des pony cars, un coupé sportif à l’antithèse des grosses voitures lourdes et massives jusque-là typiques de la production américaine.
- La Mustang sera disponible en coupé hard-top ou en cabriolet, puis en fastback à partir de 1965. Le premier jour de sa commercialisation, la voiture sera vendue à 22 000 exemplaires : l’histoire est en marche !
- La voiture que nous présentons fut fabriquée en 1965 à l’usine Ford de Deaborn, dans l’Etat du Michigan. Il s’agit d’un Coupé (Hardtop) équipé d’un moteur Code C, un V8 de 289 ci (4,7 l) à deux carburateurs, associé à la boîte 4-vitesses automatique. Elle est sortie d’origine dans cette superbe teinte Honey Gold avec toit vinyle blanc et intérieur Ivy Gold (refait à neuf). Notons également des options intéressantes comme la direction et les freins assistés.
- Cette voiture, à la caisse très saine, fut récemment importée des Etats-Unis, avant de bénéficier d’un moteur refait (facture). Merci de noter que le propriétaire actuel a entrepris les démarches auprès de la FFVE afin d’immatriculer la voiture en France à son nom, et que la voiture aura donc une carte grise de collection française en bonne et due forme (délai d’obtention inconnu).
- Voici une Mustang dans une très jolie combinaison de couleurs, matching, à une estimation raisonnable, parfaite pour débuter dans le monde des américaines avec une Mustang à la configuration originale.

- On 17 April 1964, Ford, the world's second-largest carmaker, presented its Mustang in New York, reinventing the automobile with the first of the pony cars, a sporty coupé that was the antithesis of the big, heavy, massive cars that had been typical of American production until then.
- The Mustang was available as a hard-top coupé or convertible, then as a fastback from 1965. On its first day on the market, the car sold 22,000 units: history was in the making!
- The car we are presenting was built in 1965 at Ford's Deaborn plant in Michigan. It is a Hardtop Coupé powered by a Code C engine, a 289 ci (4.7 l) V8 with twin carburettors, mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. It comes as standard in this superb Honey Gold colour with white vinyl roof and Ivy Gold interior (refurbished). Other interesting options include power steering and power brakes.
- This car, with its very sound body, was recently imported from the USA, before benefiting from a rebuilt engine (invoice). Please note that the current owner has taken the necessary steps with the FFVE to register the car in France in his name, and that the car will therefore have a French historic registration title in due form (time taken to obtain this is unknown).
- Here is a Mustang in a very nice colour combination, matching, at a reasonable estimate, perfect to start in the world of American cars with a Mustang with an original configuration.
