As a very early example of the legendary Mustang, presented in March 1964, this coupé in sunlight yellow with a black vinyl interior, a 4.3 litre V8 coupled to an automatic gearbox left the works in Dearborn on the 5th May 1964 heading for New York. The history of the Mustang on the other side of the pond is not known. In April 2015 the coupé was imported into Switzerland and was MOT’d for the first time in January 2016 but not registered. The first registry in the official documents has been listed as July 1965, probably copied from the American title. In December 2017 the Mustang was acquired by the so far only Swiss owner. He cherished his Mustang and in the following years replaced the door panels, carpets, tyres, brake pads, all-wheel brake cylinders, the exhaust system as well as the rear leaf springs. Receipts for parts and maintenance for around 16’500 francs since 2018 are available. Now the lovely coupé is in good condition. The last Veteran MOT was completed in March 2024.
