Many Ford enthusiasts agree that 1930 was a great year for Ford’s Model A. The previous model year’s 21-inch wheels were replaced by 19-inch ones that sported larger tires. This made for a more stylish appearance while also lowering the car’s center of gravity, thereby improving handling on America’s rapidly improving roads. Additionally, wider fenders and a deeper radiator shell, both inspired by Lincoln, contributed to a revised, more refined look. These changes, coupled with various engine, transmission, and braking improvements, made the Model A much more appealing than its antiquated-in-appearance Model T predecessors.

The Model A Closed Cab Pickup offered here was restored some years ago and finished in black. The interior is upholstered in hard-wearing vinyl, appropriate for a work truck, and it is in good condition, as are the black rubber floor mats. Its wire wheels are painted attractively in the traditional Tacoma Cream and mounted with wide whitewall tires. The pickup bed floor is done in correct oak with painted sub strips and a differential cover. Under the hood, the engine and drivetrain appear to be of the correct type, although the charging system has been upgraded with the addition of an alternator. Other notable features on this handsome truck include a side-mount spare with cover, cowl lights, horn, wood bed stakes, running board steps and a Boyce MotoMeter. This truck shows some wear, creating a charming time-worn patina that allows it to have both character and utility.

This lovely Model A is perfectly suited for promoting a small business, parades, club events or simply running errands around town in style.

Please note that this car is in non-running condition.
