Ford Escort heaven? That seems clear to us talking about this very special Ford Escort Mk2 RS 1800 BDA. Built in 1978, completely rebuilt as a Group 4 rally car, but street legal with a completely original Recaro interior. The car has driven only 3000 km since the preparation that was carried out in 2009-2011. The fully documented and photographed preparation is done professionally by the experienced Escort specialists of Historic Rally Sport in England. www.historicrallysport.co.uk
The engine is of course complete with a test bench report, in this case from VGS. www.vgs-motorsport.com

This is also the car in question that was the subject of a test by Alok Paleri in January 2015. Take a look at the video to literally get a picture of what special car we are talking about here.

It is really a sensation to drive this Escort RS 1800. “Steering with the throttle” says tje real enthusiast. Well, we think that’s what the Escort has invented. Every moment you feel that you have the wonderful car in your hand and you can steer it where you want it. Good traction, a more than fantastic and reliable engine (where, by the way, much more can be achieved in terms of power), a special “dog leg” gearbox, a nice direct steering, a perfect working and adjustable suspension, etc. etc. In short, the Escort RS 1800 BDA is definitely the top of the range and for the true enthusiast who want to drive nice tours or for those who really want serious racing, there are only a roll cage and rally seats missing. We can assemble these in the same time that you instruct your bank to make the payment for perhaps your best purchase ever.
