Vehicle history:

Dino was the nickname of Enzo Ferrari's son. Alfredo Ferrari is said to have whispered the data for the V6 engine into the ear of Ferrari employed Vittorio Jano, a proven and experienced racing engine designer, on his deathbed in 1956. Jano is said to have designed this engine according to Alfredino's specifications. To celebrate the 100th birthday of Gianni Agnelli in 1966, Fiat presented two sports cars with the powerful sound of the Ferrari V6 engine under the name Dino. This was made possible by the requirement of the FIA, which prescribed at least 500 units to be produced in a short time for the engines used in Formula 2. Ferrari therefore allowed the unit to be used in the Dino 246, the Lancia Stratos and the Fiat Dino. In addition to the Spider designed by PininFaria, the beautiful Italian was also offered as a coupé designed by Bertone.
This Dino 2000 Spider is the most original Dino, still with a rigid axle and the cast aluminum motor valued by purists. First registered in Italy and exported to Germany in 2009, it was extensively restored from 2010 to 2015. The engine was completely dismantled into its components and revised, as well as the transmission, electrics and body. The interior is still original and in exceptionally good condition.

Fahrzeughistorie:

Dino war der Rufname von Enzo Ferraris Sohn. Die Legende will es, dass Alfredo Ferrari auf dem Totenbett 1956 dem bei Ferrari beschäftigten Vittorio Jano, einem bewährten und erfahrenen Rennmotorenkonstrukteur, die Daten für den V6-Motor ins Ohr geflüstert haben soll. Jano soll dann nach den Vorgaben Alfredinos dieses Triebwerk konstruiert haben. Zur Feier des 100sten Geburtstags von Gianni Agnelli präsentierte Fiat 1966 unter dem Namen Dino zwei Sportwagen mit dem soundgewaltigen V6-Motor von Ferrari. Möglich machte dies die Auflage der FIA, die für die in der Formel 2 eingesetzten Triebwerke mindestens 500 in kurzer Zeit produzierte Einheiten vorschrieb. Daher erlaubte Ferrari, das Aggregat in den Dino 246, den Lancia Stratos und eben in den Fiat Dino einzusetzen. Neben dem von PininFaria entworfenen Spider wurde der schöne Italiener auch als von Bertone entworfenes Coupé angeboten.
Dieser Dino 2000 Spider ist der ursprünglichste Dino, noch mit Starrachse und dem von Puristen geschätzten Aluminium Gussmotor. In Italien erstzugelassen und 2009 nach Deutschland exportiert, wurde er 2010 bis 2015 aufwendig restauriert. Der Motor wurde komplett in seine Bestandteile zerlegt und revidiert, genauso wie Getriebe, Elektrik und Karosserie. Die Innenausstattung ist noch original und in außergewöhnlich gutem Zustand.
