Later, it was sold in the Naples area and converted into a “Spiaggina” by a coachbuilder to be used in the summer months and during the sunny season on the promenade, as well as rented out for weddings.

The body was handcrafted by installing tubular reinforcements around the perimeter and in the door sills, in order to make the car solid and usable.

In March 2021, many important maintenance works were completed, (see photo), including:

1. disassembly of the engine, for a complete service and maintenance, new silencer and repainting;
2. complete overhaul and testing of the electrical system, with new battery;
3. a new set of rims, painted in the car colour;
4. all new chrome including the bumpers;
5. completely new interior including new carpet and vinyl upholstery and seats;
6. new set of tyres with authentic white band;
7. restoration of the instrument panel and steering wheel ;

The car drives pleasantly on the road.

An R-series ‘synchronised’ gearbox is installed, allowing the car to be driven smoothly without double downshifting.

A feeler gauge test on the body did not reveal any major accidents, the compression test showed very good values (see photo).

The technical review was passed in January 2021 and is valid until January 2023,
however, this is a direct purchase from the former owner and normal maintenance may be necessary in the short term.

The body is an older conversion and looks good, however some signs of ageing such as some thin cracks are present, see photos.
