- Low mileage example at only 21,500 miles

The Ferrari Testarossa was unveiled to the world the night before the opening of the 1984 Paris Motor Show at the famed Lido nightclub on the Champs-lyses. From the moment the covers were lifted the Testarossa was set to become nothing short of a legend. The flat-12 pushed the car to 60 mph in just over five seconds and carried on to a top speed of near 180 mph.

The performance and dramatic styling of Ferrari’s latest creation had enthusiasts falling head over heels for its latest 12-cylinder icon. It soon became the poster child for a generation with numerous appearances in movies, music videos and television shows-most notably in a starring role in Miami Vice alongside Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. When the car launched, the yuppie market was so buoyant and traders so wealthy that massive premiums were offered for freshly delivered cars.

The car we have for sale at The Classic Motor Hub is a fantastic example. The car was delivered new to the UK importer Maranello Concessionaires in May 1988 and was intended for export to their New Zealand dealer, Torino Motors. As such the speedometer reads in kilometres but the demand for Testarossas was still so strong that a UK that a buyer was found within days of the car reaching the forecourt and so was never actually exported. The first owner, Mr Danajschik took delivery of the car on 6th June 1988.

This Ferrari Testarossa comes with good service history with records and invoices dating from 1990. Over its life the car has always been serviced with main dealers and marque specialists such as Talacrest, Foskers and QV London. Most recently the cambelts have been replaced as part of a major service with QV London in November 2017.

The mileage recorded at the time was 34230 kilometres and now reads only 267km more at 34497km. The car presents impeccably inside and out and is in excellent condition inside the engine bay. Available for immediate inspection at The Classic Motor Hub.
