Please note this vehicle is titled as 1986.

Unveiled at the famed Lido nightclub on the Champs-Élysées the evening before the opening of the 1984 Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari Testarossa would become nothing short of legend. With a 0–100 km/h time of just over five seconds and a top speed of nearly 290 km/h, its performance and dramatic styling had enthusiasts falling head over heels for Ferrari’s newest flat-12 creation. It soon became the poster child for a generation with numerous appearances in movies, music videos, and television shows—most notably, a starring role in Miami Vice alongside Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas.

The Testarossa offered here is a desirable early production example with a single mirror on the driver’s side, mounted high on the A-pillar—dubbed the “flying mirror” or “Monospecchio” in Ferrari parlance—widely considered more attractive than later versions. In subsequent updates to the Testarossa, the attractive centre-lock wheels were replaced with similar rims but featuring a five-bolt pattern.

This example was delivered new to Switzerland in December 1985, with its importation from Italy handled by Ferrari Suisse Nyon. The Testarossa left the Maranello factory finished in Rosso Corsa over a Pelle Nera interior, a timeless colour pairing for any significant Ferrari model. The car was registered for the road in February 1986. In March 2016, the Testarossa gained important Ferrari Classiche certification and was awarded a “Red Book”, which accompanies the car alongside its Ferrari books and manuals.

In June 2022 the car was subject to maintenance totalling €4,479, performed by Sportscars Marcus Schröder of Langenfeld, Germany. Work included the replacement of the timing belt alongside a routine service. In March 2025, the timing belt was renewed once more to coincide with the camshaft being replaced and a new clutch kit installed by Red1Sportscars of Dällikon, near Zurich. At the time of cataloguing, the Testarossa’s odometer read just over 33,000 kilometres.

Offered for sale in its factory-correct colour pairing, equipped with its matching-numbers engine and gearbox, this attractive Testarossa ‘Monospecchio’ presents an opportunity not to be missed.
