To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION at RM Sothebys' Sealed October event, Bidding Closes 28 October 2026.
- Just 5,200 km since new
- Italian delivery example, delivered new through Rossocorsa S.r.l
- Stunning colour combination of Grigio Silverstone over Cuoio leather interior
- One of just 559 examples produced
In keeping with its grand touring nature, this Superamerica was clearly specified by its original owner with subtilty in mind. Eschewing the traditional Rosso Corsa, this example is finished in Grigio Silverstone over a Cuoio leather interior, and perhaps most notably optioned without the seemingly ubiquitous Scuderia shields. Delivered new via Rossocorsa S.r.l. of Brescia in January of 2006, the car was acquired by its first owner who also lived in Brescia, and was registered as CZ512GZ.
Remaining registered in Italy until 2014 before being imported to Germany, the Superamerica was offered via RM Sotheby’s Villa Erba auction in 2015, showing just 666 km on its odometer at the time of sale. There, the car was purchased by an owner based in the U.K. and the car was subsequently imported and registered in the U.K. In his ownership, the Superamerica was regularly serviced by Graypaul Ferrari, and invoices on file show the car received annual services in 2016 (890 km), 2018 (927 km), 2020 (1,958 km), and 2022 (1,960 km). The car would eventually be sold yet again by RM Sotheby’s at the Cliveden House auction in 2024, this time showing just 1,961 km on its odometer. At that time, it was said that the vast majority of the car’s mileage was accrued during a Ferrari Cavalcade tour. One year later, the car received an annual service at Meridien Modena in May of 2025 at 2,641 km.
The Superamerica’s most recent service was carried out by Meridien Modena in February of this year, which included an annual service, changing the brake, transmission, and power steering fluid, alongside replacing the windshield wipers. Noting the mileage as 4,384 km at this time, a check on the clutch was also carried out, showing it 10.34% wear. Today, the car has been driven just 5,200 km from new. The services listed above are accounted for in numerous invoices in the car’s file, along with the original service book.
Arguably Ferrari’s most interesting modern convertible due to its unique Revocromico rotating glass roof, the Superamerica benefits from the joys of open top motoring but experiences none of the drawbacks of a traditional soft-top convertible. Interestingly enough, due to the design of the roof lying flat on the car’s bodywork, the rear deck can be easily opened up with the roof open or closed, exposing the boot which is actually more spacious than that of a 575M Maranello. Beautifully specified, one would be hard pressed to find a lower mileage example in the U.K.To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/auctions/s1026/.
