"With six back-to-back F1 titles to its name, Ferrari couldn't put a foot wrong it seemed. This also translated into their road cars with a number of them proving to be the best to have ever rolled out of the Maranello factory such as the 360 Challenge Stradale and the 575M GTC. Then, in 2004, it launched the F430 which began a line of V8, mid-engined, supercars. Nicknamed, ‘the baby Enzo’, It seemed to sum up the F430’s appeal: strikingly modern, brutally potent and chock-full of engineering and aerodynamic knowledge gained in the white heat of the Grand Prix battle. The engine is seriously potent, kicking out 25% more torque than the 360 and taking the new car to within a whisker of 200mph.
The F430 market has been pretty stable over the last year or so and demand remains strong with good quality examples with a full history from Ferrari dealers or specialist running at £80,000-£90,000 with a good Berlinetta, over £100,000. The 430 is also a pleasure to drive with nimble controls, great all-round vision and extremely effective braking. A heady combination.
Part of a collection of extremely high-quality supercars, this desirable example benefits from a specialist service history right back to day one until 2020 when the official Ferrari Power15 warranty was installed as well as the Paint Protection Film (PPF) covering. In addition to a fresh main agent service, a new MoT test certificate will be included. The interior benefits from a partial carbon fibre dash as well as all books, keys, tools and torch will be included. Even the original Ferrari (unused) charger can be found.
Hugely usable and a widely thought to be a modern collector’s example, the F430 is one to watch and a good one should certainly form quiet investment potential.
