Beschreibung

The 599 GTB Fiorano was in its time, Ferrari’s two-seat flagship. It was the successor to the 575M Maranello which it replaced in 2006. The 599 is of course, a spiritual successor to the likes of the now legendary 250 GT, 275 GTB and Daytona. With an Enzo-derived 5999cc V12 shoehorned into an all-alloy chassis, the 620bhp GTB was Ferrari's most powerful V12 production car ever.

The 599, as with many previous Ferraris takes its name from its engine displacement of the V12, the "GTB" stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta and it was styled by Pininfarina under the direction of Ferrari's Frank Stephenson. The performance statistics of the 599 are still impressive today with top speed in excess of 205 mph, 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds, and 11.0 seconds to 124 mph.

During production, an upgrade package was released entitled, "HGTE handling package" and was available from factory and to a lesser extent, as an upgrade from dealerships. The package consisted of stiffer front and rear suspension, a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, a faster gear change thanks to gearbox upgrades, lightweight 5 spoke wheels reducing un-sprung weight by 5kg, ceramic brake discs and an upgraded sports exhaust system. When optioned from the factory, the seats featured ‘Handling GTE’ embroidery.

Designed to celebrate 60 years of Ferrari F1 victories, the 60F1 edition was launched in 2011. The 60F1 was based on the 599 with the HGTE handling package fitted from factory.

The 60F1 was launched in 3 liveries, the first paying homage to Froilan Gonzalez’ victory in the 375F1  1951 and two inspired by Fernando Alonso’s 2011 150* Italia F1 car and his win - also at Silverstone - in 2011. Each of the liveries included Scuderia hand painted wing shields, a satin aluminium fuel cap and 20 inch diamond-finish forged alloy wheels.

Inside the car receives a unique interior, with the seats featuring a unique pattern in Nero Alcantara with Superfabric high-grip inserts. The car features harnesses in red and blue and the dashboard is topped with white-silver Alutex. The Scuderia shield is embroidered on the headrests and the car features a white rev counter.

This example is the Alonso final edition finished in Ferrari 150° Italia Rosso Scuderia 2011 paint, with the complete livery including white roof strakes, front bumper and front wing stripes and Italian tricolore paint to rear spoiler and optionally features Rosso brake calipers. Featuring the Scuderia Ferrari livery, this example is signed on the roof strake by Fernando Alonso.
