The 575M Maranello is an updated and improved version of the 550 Maranello, with minor custom styling by Pininfarina. The V12 engine, just like the 550, remained in the front. However, its capacity was, as the name indicates, increased from 5500cc for the 550 Maranello to 5750cc. The M in the name stands for ‘modificata’ (modified in Italian) and represents other changes, mechanically and stylistically, that were made in comparison to the 550. For example, the 575 received a new gearbox featuring F1 technology. These modifications increased the top speed of the 575M Maranello to 325 km/h and made it possible to go from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.2 seconds.
