Beschreibung
Sparingly driven and very well kept, this Ferrari 575 M has covered less than 1,400 miles from new. Finished in Rosso Corsa with a tan interior, it has had one owner for most of its existence and has a full service history. A major service was recently performed, including fitting of a new battery, new spark plugs, new plenum gaskets, cambelts, alternator belt, timing belt, and tensioners, plus a brake, transmission, and coolant system refresh.
The 575 M is an update of the 550 Maranello. With these designs, Ferrari reverted to a format used in the great cars of the 1950s and 1960s: A V-12 engine was mounted at the front, contrary to the prevailing trend for mid-engined cars. The 575 M produced more power, up from 478 bhp to 508 bhp, pushing the top speed beyond 200 mph. Built during Michael Schumacher’s dominant run of five consecutive Formula 1 World Championships for Ferrari and launched alongside the 2002 Formula 1 car, this car is fitted with the optional Magneti Marelli semiautomatic F1 transmission, which made the car approximately half a second swifter from rest to 60 mph. With fewer than 2,100 reportedly built, 575 Ms are comparatively rare by today’s standards, and this low-mileage example would be a savvy addition for any discerning collector.
