In April 1991, Ferrari started the production of the 512 TR. This car was the successor of the Testarossa, with lots of improvements. Most noticeable changes were the 18" wheels in a new design, a new front bumper in the style of the 348, an new engine hood and new rear lights. Inside, there were improved seats and also the dashboard had some changes compared to the Testarossa. More important, there were lots of technical improvements, the most important being the completely new chassis design. Also the engine and gearbox were improved, and it must be said that the 512 TR is far superior in driving characteristics. In fact, this is how the Testarossa should have been from the beginning. With only 2261 cars produced between 1991 and 1994, this is a relatitvely rare Ferrari as well.

This example was delivered new in Belgium by Garage Monza to the first owner, with date of first registration 27.03.1993. It comes with a complete service history, and has got an engine-out big service in 2015 at 66.450 km. During this service by GPS Racing, the cambelt and all other belts and gaskets are replaced. Also the waterpump is renewed, and the clutch replaced. At the same time, the airconditioning system was overhauled and refilled, brakes overhauled and all fluids replaced, all documented with invoices for quite an important amount.... All books and tools are still with the car as well. This is a beautiful 512 TR which is 100% ready for a next owner.

Driving this 512 TR is quite impressive, and it is hard to believe that this sportscar is more then 25 years old today. It feels quite modern, and is really easy to drive. The magnificent 12 cilinder engine produces a rather discrete sound, and offers plenty of torque and power. The driving position is perfect, and visibility is surprisingly good for such an low slung italian sportscar, certainly compared to its period competitors.

A 512 TR is the improved version of the Testarossa, and will always be a true nineties icon, No surprise, as it is a fantastic car to drive and to look at, and of course a sound investment due to its rarity, condition and pedigree.
