In 2009, Ferrari introduced the 458 to replace the 430 in its long line of V8-engined berlinettas. As was customary for the Italian manufacturer, the launch gave the engineers from Maranello another opportunity to demonstrate their unrivalled expertise. The incredible charm of the 458 came from its naturally-aspirated V8, which delivered a set of figures which remain hugely impressive today. No less than 570bhp at close to 9000rpm, enough to take the Italian beauty from 0-100kph in 3.4 seconds and to cover 1000m from a standing start in just 20.3 seconds.
The 458 Italia from this collection was also ordered from the official Ferrari dealership, Monaco Motors, and delivered new in Monaco on 10 July 2010. It is finished in the same colour as the supercars in the collection, with Rosso Corsa paintwork and a magnificent black interior in carbon-fibre and Alcantara. It is in excellent condition and has some desirable options including a carbon-fibre steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, carbon-fibre sports seats, 20-inch forged-alloy wheels, wing shields and red brake callipers. It will be supplied with its service book and manuals, as well as both sets of keys. The 458 has become particularly sought after in recent years by lovers of the marque. With a specific output of 127bhp per litre, the engine fitted to the 458 Italia was the last naturally-aspirated unit and is therefore considered a mechanical work of art. Having covered only 6802km from new, with one owner and attractive options, it will undoubtedly appeal to marque enthusiasts who have the opportunity to acquire a fine example of the model.
