Announced to celebrate Ferrari’s 16th Formula 1 constructors’ title, the 430 Scuderia 16M was an amalgamation of the lightning-quick 430 Scuderia and open-topped 430 Spider. Like the hardtop Scuderia, the 16M drew from the firm’s vast experience in Grands Prix.

Aside from being 80 kilograms lighter than the standard 430 Spider, the car employed F1 technology including an E-Diff active differential and F1-Trac traction control, plus a manettino on the steering wheel developed with input from seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher. Improved aerodynamics and carbon-ceramic brakes were also part of the package, as were special 19-inch wheels. Powered by a 4,308 cubic-centimetre, 510 horsepower V-8 driving through a six-speed Superfast gearbox, the 16M could sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.7, while the top speed was more than 315 km/h.

Offered exclusively to carefully selected clients, only 499 examples of the 16M were built. The standard body colour was black, but a tricolour livery was available as part of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme. The car offered, chassis 166384, benefits from this particular option. First registered on 17 March 2009, the 16M was acquired by its second owner in 2022, having covered 21,941 kilometres in the 13 years since it left Maranello. It was serviced by official Ferrari dealer, Eberlein Automobile, in 2016, 2018, 2020, and March 2022, the most recent €3,300 service including replacement of the inner and outer left ball joints. Beautifully presented, this rare and exhilarating machine is just waiting to be unleashed by its next owner.
