Beschreibung
Ferrari 365 Daytona GTS/4 Spyder "1 of 121" with Hollywood story
The Ferrari Daytona is arguably one of the most famous and beloved Ferrari models ever produced, distinguished by both its iconic styling and its imposing V12 engine. This particular Daytona is the extremely rare open-top Spyder variant, of which only 121 examples were produced for the market worldwide.
This Daytona presents in virtually concours condition, having undergone a complete restoration from 0 and got its certification by Ferrari in Italy in 2015. Naturally, the "Ferrari Red Book" and the ∗Ferrari classiche certificate∗ accompany the vehicle. A comprehensive, illustrated documentation of the restoration process is also included. As part of the restoration, this Daytona was fitted with a new engine, a new gearbox and numerous other components.
Since its restoration, the Daytona has been driven only approximately 145 miles and has remained garaged under its car cover ever since.
This Ferrari was originally delivered in 1972 in its US spec to its first owner Mr. Green via the Ferrari dealership in Reno, Nevada, USA. The car's second owner was a renowned Hollywood film studio, where this Daytona went on to play starring roles in the films ∗A Star Is Born∗ and ∗The Gumball Rallye∗. With Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson this Daytona was playing the "third" main character and became a true star.
The Ferrari was imported to Germany in 2017 and subsequently registered with German documentation. A copy of the original US Title is retained to complete the vehicle's historical record.
