Preceded by the highly regarded 355, the 360 Modena debuted in 1999, introducing a new era of design and performance to Ferrari. Beneath styling that still looks fresh today, it featured an all-aluminum space-frame chassis and 3.6-liter V-8 engine producing 400 horsepower. As Ferrari’s race-prepared Challenge cars started to grow in popularity, so did their road car offerings to match. The 360 Challenge Stradale was thus developed to bridge the gap between Ferrari's road cars and its racing machines, drawing direct inspiration from the FIA-homologated 360 Challenge racecar.

With its Challenge car foundation, lightweight techniques were front of mind for Ferrari. Engineers managed to achieve an impressive total weight reduction of approximately 240 pounds compared to the standard 360 Modena, thanks in part to extensive interior and exterior carbon fiber, titanium exhaust system, and Lexan in place of glass for the rear window. In addition to weight savings, the already responsive 3.6-liter V-8 was punched out to 425 horsepower and complemented by a suite of track-oriented performance features. This included carbon ceramic disc brakes, stiffer titanium springs, recalibrated dampers, plus fatter 225/35- and 285/35-profile tires on the front and rear 19-inch wheels, to accommodate its wider stance. Sitting slightly lower than the original 360, every Challenge Stradale featured an F1-style automated manual transmission and F1-derived launch control.

One of fewer than 1,200 produced, this particular example was delivered new to Ferrari Lake Forest in November of 2003. Finished in Ferrari’s iconic Rosso Corsa, its carbon fiber bucket seats are finished in a two-tone black and red Alcantara finish, a color scheme which is continued throughout the interior cabin. It would remain with its original owner for 13 years, before being sold to the consigning owner with just over 5,000 miles on the odometer. In the possession of the consignor, the Challenge Stradale has been used only on rare occasion, and serviced regularly, including a major service in 2018, new Michelin PS4S tires in 2023, and new timing belts in July of 2024, completed by Wide World Ferrari of Spring Valley, New York at a cost of over $5,000.

Revered by journalists and enthusiasts alike, the 360Challenge Stradale offers a raw driving experience linked to Ferraris world renowned racing heritage. This well-preserved example now features fewer than 6,900 miles—offering an incredible chance to add an iconic, limited-production prancing horse to your collection.

Please note that due to California emissions, this vehicle must be sold to a dealer or out-of-state resident.
