Beschreibung

When the 360 Modena was nearly four years old Ferrari wanted to homologate some improvements for their GTC racer and thus the 360 Challenge Stradale was introduced. The Challenge Stradale weighs in at just 20kg more than the Challenge and a staggering 110 Kg less than a standard Modena resulting in a dramatic performance increase. The Stradale features a host of aero and mechanical refinements that combine to make it 3.5 seconds faster around Fiorano than an ordinary Modena.

Upgrades include, Carbon Ceramic brakes as standard, a 50% lighter multi axial carbon floor plan, a 25 BHP increase in power, aerodynamic tweaks allowing for up to 50% more vertical loading (including a different bumper, boot lid and sills as well as venturi ducts at the rear), carbon racing seats with 4 point harnesses, a stripped out interior with Alcantara dash and carbon door cards as standard and an F1 gearbox with shift times of just 150 milliseconds to name but a few. A total of 1288 Challenge Stradales were produced with 119 built to RHD specifications for the U.K. market.

This particular U.K. delivery example is finished in Argento Nurburgring with seats trimmed in red leather and a Nero Alcantara dashboard. Outiftted with the stereo system, Aluminium brake calipers, factory dark grey multispoke alloys and power operated windows, it was delivered new to its first owner in Avon via Maranello Egham in October of 2003. It is believed to be one of four silver Challenge Stradales delivered to the U.K. market.

Having remained in the U.K. its entire life, the car has been regularly looked after and serviced as one would expect. It was acquired by the current owner in 2019 following a pre-purchase inspection by DK Engineering, further affirming its fantastic condition. Under his custodianship, it has been serviced twice by DK Engineering, both for annual services in March 2021 and 2022 respectively and has been fitted with PPF to protect its paintwork. Importantly, the car is accompanied by a history file containing a number of previous service invoices, the original service book (with twelve stamps accounting for its full-service history), a full set of manuals, two keys, a tool kit, car cover, and the original Ferrari battery charger. Its odometer it currently showing just 10,200 miles from new, having been driven less than 10 miles since its last service with DK in March 2022. At the time of this service, clutch wear was recorded as 10.67% worn, with front and rear brake disc wear recorded as 5% worn.

A truly wonderful example of one of Ferrari’s most sought after modern classics this Challenge Stradale is ready to be driven and enjoyed by its next owner.
