Beschreibung

The Ferrari 348 was the last V-8, mid-engine car developed by Enzo Ferrari before his death in 1988, and it was introduced at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show to immediate critical acclaim.

Utilizing feedback from customers and the automotive media, the very limited 1993 348 Serie Speciale was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 1992. Just 100 – 35 coupes and 65 targas – were produced, intended solely for the US market. Each featured a free-flowing exhaust, shorter final drive ratio, 50 mm wider rear track, higher-speed-rated Pirelli tires, revised front spoiler, F40-type Kevlar carbon-fiber seats, and leather-wrapped door panels. The exterior featured a unique front grille and revised taillights, and the spoiler, bumpers, rocker covers, and engine cover were all painted body color. This 1993 348TS Serie Speciale was the 65th of 100 built. Resplendent in its Rosso Corsa over original tan leather interior, the 348 retains many factory paint markings, correct hardware, and decals. A testament to its presentation and originality, the car won the coveted Platino Award from Ferrari Club of North America in June 2014. Scuderia Performante in Malvern, Pennsylvania, performed a major service, including timing belts, in June 2016.

This extraordinarily well-kept 348TS Serie Speciale is a delightful performer and an opportunity to own a limited production Ferrari road car suitable for road or concours.
