Beschreibung

A car can only be original once. This 1991 Ferrari 348tb is just that, with its original paint throughout and original, unmolested interior. It may be the V8 “younger brother” of the Testarossa but don’t let that fool you.

Introduced in 1991, the Ferrari 348tb marked a significant evolution in Ferrari’s mid-engine V8 lineage, succeeding the iconic 328 and laying groundwork for the future F355. It was to be the last V8 model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari.
Styled by Pininfarina, the 348tb featured a wedge-shaped profile with air intakes reminiscent of the Testarossa, giving it a bold, modern appearance for its time. Incidentally, this was also the last model to be supervised by chief stylist at Pininfarina, Leonardo Fioravanti, known for designs of such iconic Ferraris as the F40, 288GTO, P5 and P6.

The 3.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine of the 348tb produced 300 horsepower at 7,200 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gated manual transmission. “TB” stood for ‘Transversale Berlinetta’, referring to its transverse gearbox layout, which was mounted longitudinally with the engine, a technical innovation that improved balance and serviceability.

Performance wise, the 348tb could accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, with a top speed of around 275 km/h. In other words, the 348tb is not just a show car to go grocery shopping with. This is a modern era Ferrari for the purists that rewards the skilled driver with endless hours of fun on the road.

The history of this 348tb can be traced back to day one, when it was sold on the 21st of June 1991 to its Swedish Lady owner from Portuguese dealership Viauto S.A., a Ferrari and Maserati dealership. The car remained in Portugal until 1994 and then moved to Sweden with its owner.

The first recorded service with an authorised Ferrari workshop is in 1996 at 15.987km and from then on at regular service intervals, all documented in the accompanying Service Book. The last service was done at 49.872km, and included a belt change, valve adjustment, fresh gearbox oil and new plugs.
Today the 348tb has travelled 59.112km and remains in near perfect condition. Original paint in beautiful condition throughout and an interior that has been broken in but no more than that. New tyres were recently fitted. This is a Ferrari that has seen regular service and less than 2000km on the clock per year since it was delivered from Maranello, and it shows and feels throughout.

The 348tb is appreciated as a raw, analogue Ferrari that bridges the gap between the classic and modern eras of Maranello engineering and remains a desirable entry point into classic Ferrari ownership.

Included with the car is the original and complete toolset, the original leather pouch with service book, owner’s manual and sale and service organisation.
