Sharing many components with the 330 GTC (two-seater), this Ferrari is appreciated for its ease of use. Considering there were two series of 330 GT, this one can be determined as an intermediate model as it is fitted with a five-speed gearbox, suspended pedals (unlike the previous version) and power windows. However, it retained the four headlamps of the "Series 1".
This car we are offering was sold new in Italy, where it spent its first four years. Successively owned by Angelo Panichi and then by two women, Ada Gregnoldo, followed by Maria Luisa Castagna, who was only 29 years old, the car then had just 14,000 kilometers on the odometer. Many years later, in 1996, the car took the roads of California, near San Francisco and then was exported to the UK. The current owner, following the advice of Patrick Ottis, an expert of the brand, decided to give the car a thorough restoration including the mechanicals, the distributor, the brake system, the suspension system, and a new clutch. The starter and the carburetors were also refurbished. The engine compartment is in an excellent condition. The exhaust system, in stainless steel, is new.
The original color of this example, "ref 7113", a dark grey, was beautifully repainted in "Argento", the body panels are in an impeccable state. The same level of restoration can be seen in the repair of the bumpers, of all exterior and interior chrome, the doors, the windows, and the restoration of the wooden dashboard and steering wheel. All the instruments function as they should. Better bulbs for headlamps, Hella H4, were fitted and the car also comes with two additional Carello lamps. The upholstery in red leather, is in an impressive condition and the carpets are new.
This is a great opportunity to acquire a Ferrari V12 belonging to the limited serie of (only) 125 units "intermediate" model. An easily usable car, it present most of the of features of the more expensive models. The car comes with a file which includes a set of invoices, and also documents that relate to its Italian and English registrations. A lovely mix of refinement, comfort and performance, rare amongst the GTs of that period.
