It featured the transverse V8 from the 308, albeit now in 3.2 form, with four valves per cylinder, a five-speed gearbox and 275 bhp on tap. It was regarded as particularly handsome and became instantly popular, with Ferrari going on to produce 7,400 variants worldwide during the production run which finished late in 1989. Now regarded as a true design classic, this ultimate sports car of the day reached 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and went on to a top speed of 166mph.

This, left-hand drive, 328 GTB was sold new in France through the official Ferrari importer, Charles Pozzi, and the odometer is now showing only 20,000 km. A wealthy Belgian banker kept the car is his private collection for many years and it was serviced regularly during this period. The owner, prior to our vendor, imported this 328 to the UK in 2014 and HR Owen Ferrari in London were entrusted with its maintenance and servicing. Accompanied by some Ferrari-dealer service history, instruction manuals, service booklet, a fresh MoT for the sale, and the V5C Registration Document, this is a sensibly estimated Ferrari worthy of serious consideration.
