Beschreibung

Famous car of the Magnum series, the 308 opens the way of the V8 berlinetta at Ferrari. This "entry-level" model allowed the Italian firm to increase its production volumes with a model produced at more than 12,000 units, big numbers compared to the artisanal aspect of Ferrari at the time. It has the heavy task of taking over from the Dino 246 GT, a V6 berlinetta, "quasi una Ferrari" according to Enzo (almost a Ferrari, the Dino brand being that of his son who died a few years later). Its 308 attribute, the classic name of the brand, is derived from the engine capacity of 3.0 liters and its V8 architecture. But the 308 has known many evolutions and model variations, the GTSi QV (for Quattrovalvole) being the most successful version of the 308.
Released on March 15, 1983 by the Belgian Ferrari importer Francorchamps with a 5-digit odometer showing a mileage of 2777 kilometers, our example is in good mechanical and cosmetic condition. With a clear recent history, showing important maintenance to be done up to date, more information on request.
Registered as a collection in France, the car is in our premises in Valence. Technical control, vertical car and histovec reports, duplicate keys present and also an official red Ferrari cover. Note that the mustache and the flowered shirt are not included in the purchase of the vehicle...

ENGINE AND GEARBOX
The 32-valve, 3-liter V8 comes to life without a hitch, emits no suspicious smoke, stabilizes quickly and simply requires gentle use during the first 15 minutes of driving to allow it to exploit its full range of use. Once started, the thrust is straightforward, linear and without any dip in power. The fantastic soundtrack contributes to the driving experience without being too intrusive.
The gearbox, which is lighter and easier to use than many other Ferraris with this type of transmission, is easy to handle with a firm and very metallic feel. Shifting gears is not a problem and can be memorized very quickly.
In terms of maintenance, a service was performed a few weeks ago, including changing the filters and fluids and more items on request. The belt was replaced a year and a half ago.

EXTERIOR
Its line is recognizable among thousands thanks to a design characteristic of the 80s, but the Magnum series also contributes greatly. The great Leonardo Fioravanti is behind this profile, none other than the designer of the F40, Testarossa...The traditional Rosso Corsa dresses the exterior and offers a good shine, with some imperfections at the front. The front (retractable) and rear lights are in working order and show no particular defects. In terms of corrosion, there is no rust on the underbody or the bodywork.
The Targa configuration allows you to remove the removable roof, which is very convenient to handle, and slide it behind the seats to enjoy the vocals of the V8.

INTERIOR
The two-tone black and crema-colored interior, surely redone at an unknown date, allows the interior to present an excellent general condition. The leather of the seats as well as their seating is very good and show no pronounced traces of wear. The dashboard is also in very good condition, no cracks or tears, as well as the carpets. The instrumentation on a black background in working order is very readable thanks to a thin Luisi steering wheel. But the most important control is located in the dashboard tunnel, the inverted H-grid, quite easy to use once brought to temperature and especially ideally placed high, close to the steering wheel.

CONSUMABLES
In terms of tires, the Michelin Pilot Exalto tires mounted on the front (255/55 ZR16 from late 2018) and rear (225/50 ZR16 from 2019) are in good condition and show little wear.
The brakes do not lack bite and the discs are in good condition.
