Beschreibung
The Ferrari 308 GTB, introduced in 1975, clearly indicated, with its designation, what‘s under the bonnet: a 8-cylinder engine with 3 litres capacity. It formed the basis of a very successful model in Ferrari lore being in production for 10 years. In 1977, the GTB Berlinetta was joined by the GTS Spyder Targa version which became rather famous through the American TV series Magnum with Tom Selleck chasing baddies with his 308. Our GTS was not used by a private detective but was delivered in Switzerland on the 23rd of October 1980 through Garage Ruf AG in Oftringen. The further history of the Ferrari is not known but the service booklet indicates that the Targa had been driven around 24’000 kilometres in the first two and a half years. Apparently after a longer period of storage, in September 2019, at 57’731 kilometres, a major service was performed which included a replacement of the cambelt as well as the water pump. The most recent service was performed in April 2020 at 58’782 kilometres. In June 2023 the 308 was taken over by its last owner who, at the end of 2024, has decided to reduce his collection. With now 61’300 kilometres driven, the pretty sportster is in good and well-maintained condition and will be sold with the most recent veteran MOT from October 2024.
