The 308 GTB Coupée made making its world premiere at the Paris Salon of 1975. It no longer wears the Dino badges, although it was directly derived from the 308 GT4. For the design of its bodywork, Ferrari went back to Pininfarina who managed a masterpiece: "a harmonious blend of the lines of the 246 GT and the BB" explained Antoine Prunet. At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1977, the 308 GTS was unveiled. Pininfarina re-used the removable roof principle, and when the car is open, the targa top was located behind the seats. Beginning in 1981, the Ferrari 308 GTB and GTS were equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic injection, gaining ease of use and consumption, but losing on power. The Ferrari engineers reacted very quickly and soon the two versions of the 308 had four valves per cylinder, giving the car "Quattro Valvole" power and performance was once again worthy of the brand.
The 308 Quattrovalvole on offer was delivered new on the 5th of July 1985 by the Lausanne dealer to its first and current owner. He hardly used the car and the odometer displays 7,500 km! The livery is a classic red, with black leather interior. The interior looks like as if new, having hardly been used! It is equipped with a period Pioneer car stereo cassette and will be delivered to its future buyer with a complete kit including the original books, manuals and toolkit. The car comes out of a comprehensive overhaul, with a change of belts by Garage Donati Garage in Vevey, the famous Ferrari specialist. All the buyer needs to do is to take this fantastic berlinetta, and drive on some beautiful winding roads for the maximum of pleasure. This is an excellent opportunity to drive a car with such low mileage!
