Beschreibung

The Ferrari Dino was designed by Pininfarina and launched in 1968 as the Dino 206 GT – an ‘affordable’ car designed to take on the Porsche 911. In order not to diminish the exclusivity of its premium priced 12-cylinder engined cars, the ‘Dino’ marque was created for models with engines having fewer than 12 cylinders – so named to honour Enzo Ferrari’s son and heir, Alfredo ‘Dino’ who sadly died at the age of 24. Today, the Ferrari Dino 246 range is celebrated as one of the most desirable and collectible classic cars ever made.

Furlonger are delighted to offer this outstanding example, presented in the impeccable combination of Rosso exterior over Pelle Beige hide interior, delivered new to a Mr Ollbrich of London in 1974.

The Dino is accompanied by an extensive history file, containing dozens of invoices that date back as early as its first ever service carried out by Maranello Concessionaries in April 1974. The cars early, thorough service documentation continues after changing hands to a Mr Dawbarn in 1977, being maintained by both Maranello and Belgravia Service Garages. After changing hands over the course of twenty years the Dino was regularly and meticulously maintained by a number of Ferrari main dealers (Maranello, Graypaul, Modena Engineering) and multiple specialists, all of which is supported by further invoices and receipts. The car was then restored by a well-known marque specialist in the mid 2000’s.

The Dino’s current keeper acquired the car in 2007 and has carefully enjoyed her in dry conditions, covering just over 4,000 miles up to the present day. During this ownership the car has received a number of comprehensive works with no expense spared, all of which has been carried out by reputable specialists. The car received a full interior re-trim in 2016, costing over £16,000!

Remarkably, this Dino also comes with its original handbook, dealer directory, unusually its original warranty card and unused AGIP leather shammy towel all filed within the ‘Dino’ leather bookpack and every single MOT certificate.

Alongside the cars expanded supporting paperwork is its wonderful condition throughout, it’s like new interior is unquestionable having been recently re-trimmed and the exterior/underside gives the impression of a cherished car which has been conscientiously driven and stored in the correct conditions.

Extremely well cared for, with Classiche Certificate and complete with all books and spare wheel – available to purchase today at Furlonger.
