Beschreibung
FERRARI DINO 246 GT 195CV 1971 - This beautiful example was delivered new in 1971 at the Ferrari Charles Pozzi dealership in Paris ... It had 2 owners, the first from 1971 to 1978 and the last from 1978 .... ... It is in magnificent condition. It was restored a few years ago and has always been very well maintained with an enviable history of maintenance invoices and a photographic record of the restoration. It is an elegant colour configuration with a Rosso Chiaro exterior and a black interior with red upholstery. Ferrari's competitors were rapidly switching to mid-engined machines, with competition from the Lamborghini Miura with identical features such as its mid-body engine. Ferrari introduced the Dino 246 GT in 1969. Designer Sergio Pininfarina presented Enzo with the sketches he had made of a mid-engined sports car with excellent aerodynamics and almost perfect weight distribution, which he thought would be another success that Enzo Ferrari would produce.
According to the story, Enzo gave in and agreed to build the car, but only if it had a relatively light and powerful engine, so that it could keep up with the weight/power/engineering balance designed into the performance of this sports car. To equip this model, Enzo chose a V-6 engine that his son Alfredo (Dino for short) had helped develop for racing with chief engineer Vittorio Jano. The engine had been successful, giving Ferrari a Formula 1 championship in 1958 and - a tribute from Enzo to his late son. Powered by a 2.4-litre V-6, this engine produced 15 more horsepower than the previous 2.0-litre unit and was noticeably faster than its predecessor. The new Dino could reach 100 km/h in just over eight seconds. From 1971 to 1974, Ferrari would produce the last iteration of the Dino, called the ‘E-Series’. These Dinos were equipped with twin Weber DCNF7 carburettors, increasing the top speed to 239 km/h. Inside, the dashboard also underwent improvements compared to the previous model, allowing for the installation of a radio and heating controls.
