It still has its original numberplate from 1947 when it was first registered in Italy.

The DKW has a simple but smart two-cylinder engine with separate ignition; in fact, it has two coils and two capacitors that allow to work without the need for camshafts, valves and more complications.

Front-wheel drive (one of the first units in the world).

This was actually the DKW philosophy: a simple but durable and brilliant engine at low speeds.

Liquid-cooled with radiator.

This unit is a very sturdy and original old restoration; it has the rare spoked rims, recent tyres, soft top in good condition and paint in reasonable condition, although with some signs of age.

The car starts and steers well, electrical system is mostly in working order, petrol tank was restored (also inside), however there are some water leaks from the engine seals and it needs to be disassembled for a new series. Decorative rod turn signals.

Bodywork and chassis are sturdy, a compression test on the engine showed very good and uniform results (as shown in photos).

Interior in beautiful condition, lining of the seats and panels is clean and soft with a resistant padding.
