Beschreibung

French title
Chassis No. SCEDT26T6CD010895

- 1,152 original miles
- An original and rare car with manual gearbox
- Giugiaro design, gullwing doors
- From the collection of a French businessman
- No reserve

The sober and sporty design of the DMC 12 was by Giugiaro and the stainless-steel body mounted on a backbone was undeniably distinctive. Access to the passenger compartment is via dramatic gullwing doors, and the engine, placed at the rear, is a 137bhp PRV V6 of 2.9-liters, good enough to take this beauty to 200 km/h. It is estimated that between 8,000 and 9,000 DeLoreans were produced, a car that was made more famous by the film "Back to the Future". Rolling out of the factory in December 1981, this DeLorean has covered barely 1,152 miles since. This example would have belonged to the DeLorean Motor Company factory as a demonstrator in their showroom for nearly 36 years. It then had only 669 miles on the odometer, when it was inspected by Danny Botkin of DeLorean Motor Company, Huntington Beach. Boitkin got the car back on the road after spending an amount exceeding $10,000, by the end of 2018, before it crossed the Atlantic and joined our businessman's collection in 2019. All generations can only be enthusiastic about this emblematic model, equipped with a rare manual gearbox, what with its unique look, its gullwing doors and its stainless-steel body. Thanks to its low mileage, this DeLorean has survived the years without suffering the dings of time, just like the time machine that made this automobile famous.
