This 1933 Delage D4 carries a history few cars can match. It dates from an era when a customer ordered a bare chassis and picked their own coachbuilder — and this one wears bodywork designed and built by Carrosserie Baldenweg of Geneva, under the direction of the very man who founded the company. That coachbuilder is still in business today, 103 years on. A Baldenweg plaque remains fitted to the car.

The current owner found the car in France, drawn by the chance to reunite with a model shaped by Baldenweg: his own grandfather founded the coachworks, and buying this Delage was a way of keeping that family legacy alive.

The car has been serviced every year and has passed its technical inspection, earning veteran status. Originally finished in beige and red, it now wears an olive green and beige livery.

Condition

The photos speak for themselves. Paintwork is excellent, with only the lightest marks of use. The interior is equally well preserved — period-correct and in excellent condition throughout. No visible rust underneath. The car starts on the button and is ready to be driven.
