According to a description for a previous auction sale, this De Tomaso Pantera chassis 3890 was manufactured in July 1972 and delivered new to the UK by the official importer; it was therefore one of the rarest right-hand drive examples with the original livery. It was registered on the island of Jersey until 1975 and had 3 English owners between 1975 and 1977. A Scottish man bought it in 1977 and modified it into a Group 4/5 before parting with it 19 years later. The new owner only uses it in good weather conditions, notably to go on pilgrimage to Le Mans for many years. Converted to left-hand drive, this particular De Tomaso Pantera GTS is an excellent machine for participating in various historic racing events and has in fact just taken part in the 2022 edition of the Tour Auto race.
