In the 1960s, the importance of offering affordable sports cars was relied on in order to mainly trade with English and Italian brands.
The company sold the successful series of Fairlady roadsters and started work on a new line of GT cars that would be stylish, innovative, fast and relatively inexpensive.
The 1971 Datsun 240Z was a popular sports car of the 1970s and is still prized by car enthusiasts. It had a 2.4-liter inline six-cylinder engine that produced 151 hp and 206 Nm of torque. It was available with a four-speed manual transmission or optional three-speed automatic transmission. The top speed was around 200 bodywork, a wheelbase of 2,310 mm and was 4,140 mm long, 1,630 mm wide and 1,290 mm high. It had disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear and an independent suspension at the front and a live axle at the rear with coil springs and shock absorbers. These are just a few specs, but hopefully it gives you an idea of what the 1971 Datsun 240Z had to offer.
This datsun is also equipped with a stainless steel sports exhaust which gives the inline 6 a great sound, and it also has sports seats for the real experience.
This is a beautiful 'survivor' example of the first generation of Z cars, and in our opinion a good investment for the future! km/h and the acceleration from 0-100 km/h took about 8 seconds. The weight was about 1,100 kg and the fuel consumption was about 10-12 km/liter.
