This 1978 Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas was initially registered in Switzerland has only clocked up 126,433 km. Until its import into the Netherlands on the 27th July 2007, the car had always been kept in the Swiss Lugarno/Lamone region. This series 2 car has the famous 5.3 V12 engine, the special Vanden Plas bodywork and was last series to be fitted with chrome bumpers. This car has never required any restorative work and is in a superbly original condition. The lovely bodywork is straight and has correct body panel fittings. The original underbody is rust-free. The paintwork, refreshed in the past, is in good condition. It has a black ‘Everflex’ vinyl roof. The patina of the well kempt interior is just right. Air-conditioning, automatic transmission and electrically operated windows are amongst a number of luxury accessories. It comes with the original car wallet containing the service book and the Swiss ‘Abgas-Wartungsdokument’.
