The DAF XF 105.460 is known for its robust performance and suitability for long distance transport. It's powered by a Paccar MX-13, 12.9-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine, which delivers 460bhp and is turbocharged with air-to-air charge cooling. It also utilizes the AdBlue system for emissions control, adhering to Euro 5 standards. It features a ZF 12-speed AS Tronic semi-automatic gearbox, a DAF single reduction drive axle with a differential lock and an air-suspended mid-lift/steer axle providing enhanced manoeuvrability and load capacity. The drive axle has ECAS (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension) with in-cab controls, allowing for adjustments based on load and road conditions and retardation is by discs all round controlled by an electronic braking system (EBS).
