- Desirable 1939 model
- Attestation aventure Citroën
Indissociable from Citroën's history, the Traction Avant marked a breakthrough in the automotive world from the moment it was unveiled in 1934. A veritable cornucopia of innovations for its time - front-wheel drive, monocoque body, independent suspension, hydraulic brakes - it put Citroën twenty years ahead of the competition. Produced until 1957, the Traction left its mark on several generations of motorists, becoming an icon in its own right in the French motoring world.
The model on offer is a 1939 Traction 7C-9, one of the few surviving examples produced before the war. It rolled off the production line on 4 May 1939, and is a compact, lightweight version of the early Traction. Its sober, elegant styling, enhanced by its yellow “pilot” wheels, gave it an authentic charm.
Although we have no documented restoration file, the general condition of the vehicle suggests that an early restoration was carried out. Today, the car is in a beautiful state of presentation, both aesthetically and technically.
An emblematic and accessible model, this 7C is a gateway to the world of pre-war cars, combining technical innovation, timeless silhouette and ease of use. An ideal model for discovering this world, without sacrificing a certain modern driving pleasure.
