It was delivered new in Italy in that year. The SM remained with its first owner for 20 years. The car was imported in the Netherlands on 7 August 1992 and had three owners there. The entire history is included, all fully documented. Not only invoices, but also emails and correspondence included from its period in the Netherlands.

More than 80,000 euros worth of invoices are included. These were for modifications to the engine and all other necessary repairs. Experts already know this, but the weak points on the SM are the distribution chain tensioners and the sodium-filled inlet and exhaust valves. This has all been adapted and improved by SM specialists. Everything is of course documented and included. The beams were in good condition but have been replaced for stainless steel ones. The V6 Maserati engine is fantastic and has only driven 153,000 km in total.

This Citroën SM is really in excellent condition, there’s about 15 kg worth of documentation which is very unique. The Dutch periodic vehicle inspection is valid until June 2021. Export documents will be included if sold outside the Netherlands.
