If you have worked at Citroën almost all your life as a mechanic and a salesman, there is nothing more fun than having a Mehari yourself. That’s what this Mehari’s old owner said to himself. He bought it through a regular customer who wanted to exchange his Mehari back in 1996. He was enjoying it during the first few years, but after a while it began to show minor symptoms of old age.

No problem if you’re used to tinkering almost all your life, the other Citroën colleagues were more than happy to help out and restore the Mehari. The Mehari was completely disassembled, whatever needed replacing was replaced and revised. The body has been completely resprayed, the interior has been replaced. Good chassis, good subframe, good mechanics. The roof wasn’t necessary at the time as it was only driven in nice weather, so we replaced it.
