The launch of the DS was the event of the Motor Show in Paris, in 1955. Citroën unveiled a futuristic car, described by all as "revolutionary", both aesthetically, with a fluid design and mechanically, since it was equipped with hydropneumatic suspension, giving it remarkable comfort.
The list of innovations was long, the dashboard, the single spoked steering wheel, the 'mushroom' brake pedal, etc Different variations, convertible and estate appeared over the years In 1965, when the "Pallas" (with inside in velvet or leather, thicker carpet) appeared, the engine output had increased to 100bhp for the new DS 21. 1973 was the year of launch of the 23, available either with carburetors (115bhp) or fuel injection (130bhp). The latter model is the one that is of interest to us here. This example, dating from 1974, is one of the last DS 23 injection produced, and one of the most desirable since it has such a rare feature, the sunroof. It was delivered new in Modena to its first owner. In tan leather upholstery, the car is fitted with air conditioning, its original radio, head rests and center armrest. The car had been completely restored in 2008 by a Citroën specialist. It has covered only 9,900kms since, as can be seen from the odometer. The interior is in a remarkable condition, the leather is just slightly worn, and its carpets are like new. In this sand color, with tan interior, the DS 23 Pallas represents a rare opportunity to acquire the final evolution of this amazing car, with all the many desirable and rare options. Moreover, it will be delivered with its service manual, libretto and original license plates. An opportunity not to miss!
