Beschreibung
Chassis No. VF7MAMS000MS6593
To succeed the iconic DS, Citroën introduced the CX: a visionary grand tourer designed by Robert Opron, also behind the DS and SM. True to Citroën's DNA, it features hydropneumatic suspension and an unconventional interior. The ergonomic cockpit includes the signature "lunule" speedometer and side-mounted satellite controls, letting drivers operate key functions without removing their hands from the wheel. Whether driving or riding, the CX offers, in its day, unmatched comfort and confidence.
The model was offered in numerous versions, including the luxurious CX Prestige commissioned by the French Presidency and the diesel model, which launched as the fastest diesel sedan available. Among these variants, the CX Limousine combined the CX Prestige body with the diesel engine. Powered by a transverse four-cylinder 2,500-cc engine producing 75 PS, it reached speeds over 150 km/h while offering ample space for passengers and luggage.
First registered on 5 March 1981-the model year that introduced standard features such as power windows, central locking, Diravi steering, and improved anti-corrosion treatment-this CX Limousine, chassis number MS6593, was licensed a few weeks later on 29 April by its owner, who kept it for several decades in Annecy, nestled in the French Alps. Located near the Swiss border, the car crossed into Switzerland in 2020 with the help of a brand specialist to join its current owner's collection in 2021. That same year, it received its latest veteran vehicle certification.
Presented in a stunning Vert Tamarin exterior with a matching interior, this elegant and verdant CX Limousine is ready to join its new collector.
