The Ami 8 replaces the Ami 6. If the latter was designed by Flaminio Bertoni, the new model will be the work of Robert Opron. Everyone knows the success of this model which will be sold in France for more than 10 years. Available in sedan or station wagon versions, the chassis and engine will be borrowed from the no less famous 2CV.
The model presented here is an Ami 8 from the first series, recognizable by its sliding side windows. The red burgundy colour is relatively rare on this model, and the interior is in red fabric. The whole is original and needs to be fully restored.
