In 1983, Citroën celebrated the participation of the France III sailing boat in the prestigious America's Cup by launching a special edition of its legendary 2CV: the 2CV France 3. Produced in a limited run of around 2,000 units, this version is based on the 2CV6 and stands out with its Blanc Meije paintwork, featuring a blue nautical design symbolising waves, applied to the bonnet, the interior opening soft top and the boot door.
The model presented here was delivered new in May 1983 by the Citroën dealer in Bourgoin-Jallieu. It is a third-hand car with less than 50,000 km on the clock. Its service log and a file of invoices provided testify to its maintenance, particularly within the Citroën network until the early 2000s.

Added to its current owner's collection in 2023, this 2CV France 3 is now presented in its original condition, with its mechanics overhauled in 2023 and a successful road test. The specific features of the series are still present, reinforcing the authenticity and appeal of this already rare model.
