The last 2 CV left the factory on July 27, 1990. It was a 2CV "Charleston" in cormorant gray/dark gray for the plant manager at Mangualde, Portugal. The name "Charleston" evokes the 1930s and a retro style that the public immediately adopted, with this version becoming a kind of a "must" for all enthusiasts of the model.
Delivered new on July 19, 1990, the 2CV Charleston we are offering, was registered by its first owner in August of the same year. Since then, it has remained in the same hands. The most extraordinary fact, other than being one of the last Charlestons produced, is that it has not even covered 2900 km from new! A recent expertise states that the car is in mint condition, still equipped with its original features. It has no bodywork impact or chipped paint, and looking under the chassis, you can even see the paint dots on the original nuts, which disappear at the first repair or disassembling: they are an additional point confirming the authenticity of this automobile.
Its owner, a keen 2CV enthusiast, has always taken great care of this car, driving it regularly to preserve it in the most perfect running condition possible, whilst also ensuring the necessary maintenance. The interior still smells new, caracteristic of 2CVs of this period. The hood shows no signs of wear and color still has its original luster.
This exceptional 2 CV comes, of course, with its original jack, its spare tire which has never been used, as well as its owner and service manuals. It will surely give the new owner the impression to take delivery of a new car at the Citroën dealership, a real journey into the past...
