- In good condition, probably a two owners from new
- The more powerful six-cylinder version
- Top-range model of the Traction
- No reserve
"Unparalleled on the road" was how Citroën's advertising touted its flagship model. This exaggeration was not unjustified: the "15" as it was called, could easily keep pace with the models from some of the most prestigious of car brands then, as its driving qualities were well above average. Launched four years after the launch of the Traction, this top-range version featured a six-cylinder 2.8-liter engine that markedly improved performances. It also boasted a more luxurious interior.
According to the logbook, this 15-Six that we are offering only had two owners from new, with the first registration dating from May 15, 1949, followed by the purchase of this car by André Trigano in 1988. Moreover, it comes with its original handbook. This is a flat trunk version; its owner equipped it with an external luggage rack to compensate for the relatively small volume of the boot. The car includes other accessories, such as special rear lamps surrounds and deflectors on the doors. As regards the body, the paint is old and small traces of corrosion appear at the bottom of the doors. The engine has been completely redone and the compartment was repainted at the same time. The gearbox has also been overhauled. The interior is in correct conditions, as the door trim panels and the seats have been redone recently. The odometer counter shows 23,635 km.
With its limited number of owners and with completely redone mechanicals, this 15-Six is an excellent opportunity to own a top-range Traction.
