Beschreibung
This cool coupé, one of 56’166 examples of its kind is a GM Bienne delivery and was first registered on the 3rd January 1937. The first 30 years of the Chevrolet’s history are not known until, in 1967, it was taken over by the vendors father. As the owner of a mechanical manufacturing company, he restored the car over the following years himself. As can be seen in the documentation provided, this task took a while and on the 19th of May 1972 the first MOT in his name was completed. The Master was only driven sparingly and in around 1980 ownership passed to the vendor. He maintained a meticulous record of all repairs and maintenance and in 1991 commissioned a completely new interior in Connelly leather. From spring 1992 to October 1999 the Coupé was exhibited at the “Musée International de l’Automobile” in Geneva and was not driven any longer. After returning to the owner, it was decided to perform a coachwork restoration. The Chevrolet was dismantled and in the winter 2000/2001 a new paintjob was performed in the current dark blue. Since then the beautiful coupé was only driven around 2’000 kilometres and correspondingly presents itself in good to very good condition. Stemming from 57 years of family ownership this Chevrolet Master will be handed over to a new enthusiast with the latest Veteran MOT from August 2020.
