Produced from 1953 to compete with European sports cars, the Corvette was a real success for the American brand, so much so that it remains in the Detroit company's catalogue today. The first C1, C2 and C3 versions were very successful. The C4, on the other hand, had some difficulties in establishing itself in the GT sports car market. With 205 hp and a heavy weight, it struggled with its European competitors whose design was much more modern. Despite its minor setbacks, the C4 still managed to do well and was even the queen of the entry ball at the Indianapolis circuit. It became the official pace car. To celebrate,
Chevrolet will produce a special edition with a catchy name: the "Indy Pace Car".
The model presented here is one of these special editions. It features the V8 engine and a three-speed automatic transmission. The glossy grey interior blends with the grey paintwork.
