The third generation Corvette is based on the Mako Shark II concept car. The C3 was introduced in model year 1968 and production continued until 1982. The C3 coupé was the first Corvette with removable T-top roof panels. Terms were used which would later return, such as LT-1, ZR-1, and Collector Edition.

The Corvette C3 is seen less and less often and is becoming a rarity in the streets, especially the more sought-after version with the small bumper like this copy (1979 was the last year with the small bumper). This is a car that starts right away, idles nicely at 800 RPM, stops well, accelerates powerfully and shifts smoothly through all gears.

In the recent past, the seats have been re-upholstered and therefore the interior is still in a very neat condition. The car appears to still have its original paintwork. It looks reasonable from a distance but multiple signs of wear and scratches are visible up close (see photos). In order to make the car entirely tight again, this Corvette will have to be repainted in the future.
